Topic: What modules should i use for a theme like this?

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/684230/liteste … view-2.jpg

I know most of it isn't possible in LiteStep so lets concentrate on the part that might be.

Everything is "boxes" that can be removed and moved around.

I'm guessing there are modules for the following functions.
* Clock and Date
* Command prompt (cmd)
* Volume (remember slider from old)
* Music player (all but the visualization I'm guessing)
* Systray (can I have the icon change?)
* Weather (unsure)
* Calendar (I'm guessing there are something or i could use Rainlendar or something)
* Taskpopup (guessing i cant do it like i want it but a normal popup with all the task is OK =) )
  * Message board ( Should display mail, pm (like google talks, msn etc) and IRC. I have no idea if anything can be done here)

Haven't been using LitStep in a long time so I'm a tad rusty so any help would be appreciated. =)

I can see making all of this with xLabel, xTray, xTaskbar, xStatsClass, umSlider, lsCommand (or whatever it's called), wazup (for the weather).
Music Player I don't see why you would even consider Litestep when foobar2k could easily do that.
The message board could probably be done in rainmeter. I never use it so I don't know.
The taskpopup can be made with xTaskbar and xLabel. Just hook a taskbar into a label and you can move it around.
Everything in this concept is possible.

TASKMENU
xPopup (!PopupTasks)+xPaintClass

TASKWINDOWS
xtaskbar only can show the hovered task i dont know how show all the thumbs.

VOLUME
tVolEzy+xlabel+xStatsClass+xPaintClass
or
tVolEzy+umSlider
(just master volume, no suport for multi chanels)

MUSICPLAYER
winamp+AlbumArt+xlabel+xStatsClass+xPaintClass
foobar2k+AlbumArt+xLabel+xStatsClass+xPaintClass
skinned winamp/foobar2k

SYSTRAY
xTray+xPaintClass(+xLabel+xStatsClass for net traffic)

LOGIN SCREEN
LiteStep not handle this, maybe you will need some windows theme maker, or login scren changer(3tr part program)

VIDEO PLAYER
same of login screen, but you can use some skinned player

Note: if you want to use xModules, you need load xPaintClass ans xStatsClass BEFORE all modules!

Time will tell if I move on with this theme or not. I have a simpler more "text based" theme in the works too.

Re: What modules should i use for a theme like this?

There IS a way to get a login screen in litestep, I've seen themes that have it, it's tricky but it can be done.
If you search deviantart you might find what I'm talking about.

I'm recently back to litestep and happy to see that it still alive.
I found a quick way to do a login screen, but there's surely better ways, more secured.
This one just set a black background with a label text edit box. You need to know the correct mzscript bang to login to your profile (it can handle as many as you want).
