Topic: Litestep in Windows 7.. tips?

I've followed the few threads on using Litestep in Windows 7, but I have been using Windows XP since it came out (Litestep keeps me sane here). I'm moving to Windows 7 (64bit) next week, and I'm hoping there aren't any 'gotcha's?

Who has it working well, and are there any different steps to getting it working well?

With modified versions of litestep.exe, lsapi.dll, and xtray-2.2.2.dll, you get the flyouts, and its correct positions fixed, but you lost it if !recycle.

Alur is working on a build, but it nor was launched on lsdev.org or here, just the source-code.

i'm on Win8 now, but i've hear this question before, and due to issues presents on LiteStep at Win7, i've must to create a work-around theme. This topic have a link to  "LiteStep and Windows 7 x64 : running them both" (by atde). I hope it can help you. let us know your progress. Negative or positive.

Re: Litestep in Windows 7.. tips?

I've been running LS on win7 for years now on all my machines. Works fine with some exceptions. See my other posts for a list of what doesn't work so well.

Let me know if something comes up during installation, I've had a few issues, but they were always different ones on different machines.

well I just (finally) got Windows 7 installed. I need to get out of Explorer fast, before I go even more crazy than Windows 7 will already make me. Hopefully there are no problems.
