Topic: nModules 0.7 released

I just released version 0.7 of my nModules.

You can get them from http://lsmodules.alurcard2.net/ or http://ls.greywool.com/modules/.

Requirements

If you get the 32-bit modules, you need the 32-bit LiteStep core, and the 32-bit redistributables (A.K.A. x86). A 32-bit LiteStep core can not load 64-bit modules.

If you get the 64-bit modules, you need the 64-bit LiteStep core, the 64-bit redistributables (A.K.A. x64), and a 64-bit operating system. A 64-bit LiteStep core can not load 32-bit modules.

ChangeLog
  • Performance improvements.

  • Fixed an issue where some windows didn't repaint occasionally.

  • The cygwin installer no longer causes the shell to lock up when using nTask.

  • nTray properly displays balloons without any content.

  • Fixed an issue where !Shutdown did not work after a recycle.

  • Fixed the HoverActive state not being triggered by hovering.

  • Added a Flash button to !nTaskTestWindow

  • Fixed balloons using NIIF_ERROR would show NIIF_INFO instead.

  • The minimized taskbar button state should be reliable now.

  • Fixed crash when recycling with an open test window.

  • Added more named colors.

  • Added you can now use +, -, and %'s in Width, Height, X, and Y (generally speaking).

  • Added a FontStroke brush to all states.

  • Fixed error in nPopups ConfineToMonitor/ConfineToWorkarea with some monitor configurations.

  • Other small fixes.

I wanted to get a proper documentation ready for this release, but, alas, writing documentation is tedious work, and I haven't had the time for it. There are more features and performance/reliability tweaks coming; hopefully more rapidly this time!

Some context would be very helpful.

Ncore-0.7 is the only module which loads. Ndesk-0.7 crash litestep. Other modules get error message.

Re: nModules 0.7 released

Running new litestep instance on the previous litestep instance I got new modules to laod except nicon-0.7 and ndesk-0.7. Those two crash litestep.

Re: nModules 0.7 released

thy3d1: I'll look into it and get a fix out. Any chance I could get your theme for debugging?

Skrell: I'd recommend looking at some of the existing themes. I have a somewhat outdated wiki here: https://code.google.com/p/n-modules/wiki/Index?tm=6
Sorry about the lack of a proper documentation. I will get to it.

thy3d1: You don't by chance have an earlier version of some module loaded (nkey perhaps)? Unfortunately they don't play nice together.

Re: nModules 0.7 released

Hi,
Great work on nMudules.
I've came back from years of absence away from windows and litestep.
And I'm happy to see LS community is still alive. big_smile

One queestion. Is it possible to use UseTextArrow setting for folder items in nPopup?
Like xpopup has.

Re: nModules 0.7 released

Nice i use them already, also found out how to add a wallpaper
Well i found out how to add a wallpaper wiht nmodules
Open theme.rc
add this:

WallpaperDir                                    "$ThemeDir$wallpaper\"
make a wallpaperfolder save any picture you want in bmp formatthen add  this at the bottom:
*nDeskDontRenderWallpaper
Thats the trick

And there is a guy on deviantart making themes with your new modules
